What is Best Price Logic?

Modified on Fri, 26 May, 2023 at 10:25 AM

Best Price logic is an intuitive feature built into the Last Yard system that automates what price is produced on a ticket and when they should be produced, based on what we are pulling from your POS. Removing a lot of the manual filtering and production of tickets for you.

This is mainly relevant for stores who have overlapping promotions, where you might have an item on sale at two different values over a certain period.  In the example below the weekend special at $1.99 will be the best price for that period of Friday - Sunday and so the system will produce you 3 x  tickets in the following order;

  • Monday Week 1 - $2.99

  • Friday Week 1 - $1.99

  • Monday Week 2 - $3.50

This is because those are the three tickets with the best prices at those points over the promotional periods.

Best Price Logic is there to reduce the amount of manual manipulation of the ticket data and automate what tickets are generated for you, if however this feature is not of benefit to you and you want to produce all of the tickets for overlapping promotions, we can deactivate this feature for you. Please email [email protected] and request to have this turned off.

Helpful Tip - The pricing and data that Last Yard uses to produce a ticket is pulled from your Point Of Sale (POS) system, so if the pricing is wrong or not what you expect to see, the first place to check is your POS from a troubleshooting perspective.
