How To Create Ad-Hoc Tickets With Product Search

Modified on Fri, 26 May, 2023 at 1:44 PM

You can manually create tickets for products at any time via the “Product Search” feature (pictured below).

To search, enter a search term and press enter (pictured below).

Or alternatively use the filters to narrow down your search by PLU, Department, Order Code etc:

Tick the box next to the products you want to ticket.

NOTE: you can perform multiple searches over and over and keep ticking products. Your selections will be remembered between searches.

Once you have selected the desired products, click the “Create Tickets” button in the top right hand corner of the page.

The dialog below will open and ask you whether you want to:

  • Add these tickets to an existing batch; or

  •  Create a new batch

Adding tickets to an existing batch will allow you to select the pre-existing batch from the drop down box, these new tickets will simply be added to that batch.

Creating a new batch will ask you to enter a new batch name. This will automatically fill with the date and time the batch is being created, however we recommend naming it with something unique and descriptive so it’s easier to find on your dashboard.

You can also set your batch due date if you want the ticket to be created with a price that is not yet active. For example, if you want to create a ticket for tomorrow with tomorrow's price, select tomorrow's date in the “Set batch due date” field.

Finally, you can choose to apply ticketing defaults (see article on this for more), or if unchecked you’ll be able to select the template and theme specifically for these tickets.

Click “Next” (if Apply Ticketing Defaults is unchecked) and you will be prompted to select the template and theme for these tickets.

Click “Create Tickets” and you will see a progress icon, once the tickets have been created the batch will open automatically and you will be able to review and print the tickets.
