Desktop Notifications

Desktop notifications is a feature designed to alert stores of important updates, actions and deadlines within the Last Yard software. 

1. Accessing Notifications

• You can set these up yourself via the the Menu on the left hand side of the screen. 
• Go to Automations 
• Select Notifications
• There are a number of pre built templates provided for your convenience but you can also build your own from scratch. The pre built templates are: 
  • Notify users of price Change & new tickets for printing 
  • Notify users of changes/updates to tickets 
  • Send a Reminder when a batch print data is due soon
  • Notify users when a batch is assigned to a store 
  • Set notifications by batch due date 

2. Create A Notification From Scratch

• Click on Create Notification 
• Click on the Create From Scratch Button top right hand side of the Notifications Set Up page

Compose the Message

• Give the notification a clear title that summarises the notification message/action 
• Add a brief description to explain what the notification is about

Set Up The Notification Trigger

• Choose the event or action that will trigger the notification such as: 
  • Price change
  • New tickets being assigned to a store 
  • Ticket updates
  • Print reminder
  • Due date alert 

Select Recipients 

• This is where you choose who is to receive the notification 
  • Specific stores
  • Specific users
  • Store groups 
  • All stores

Select Channels & Save

• This is where you nominate how users are notified: 
  • In -app Alerts 
  • Email 
  • Desktop push notifications 
• Save your work and that notification will send on the next trigger point 
• Follow the process again to create another notification 

Please note this feature is available on Last Yard version 24.04 and above.
