How to use Image fields

Modified on Mon, 29 May, 2023 at 3:58 PM

To add an image to your template, click ‘Image’ under Visual Fields.

Image Style

After adding an image field, you can change the style to either fill and crop, fit and scale or stretch to the size of the field.

Fill & Crop - Scales to the size of the longest edge.

Fit & Scale - Maintains image ratio whilst scaling to the size of the field.

Stretch - The image is stretched to fit the size of the field and its shape.

Source

The source defines where the field looks for its image.

Image libraries

This allows you to restrict the image field to using specific image libraries.

Under the Images section in Template Studio, the images you upload can be assigned to an image library by assigning a tag. See How to upload images for more detail on setting up image libraries.

If no specific library is defined then the field will show all libraries.

When a library or libraries are defined the list will restrict to that definition.

Theme Image Name

Allows you to define the name of the file that the template should look for within a theme.

Select a default image

A default image will display automatically on the ticket.

From Uploaded Images

Pick from the images that have been uploaded which one you want to define as the default.

From Url

You can also use the URL of an image if you need to use an asset from an online source.
