This troubleshooting guide is for setting up your Last Yard Cast player or if your current player has lost connection to the internet.
Things to consider:
- The TV is turned on and the correct display output is selected.
- Connecting USB Keyboards to the Cast Device only, and not into the TV.
- Do not use the TV remote to try and navigate the Cast Device menus, this will not work.
Reconnecting your player to the network
1. When first powered on you might be presented with the screen below, if you do not see this screen double check all connections and the input is set correctly on the TV .
- If you are shown a blank screen, or content that was previously assigned to the device: please press and hold the "CTRL" key and then the letter "T" twice. Keystroke: CTRL T T - this will change the screen on the cast device that is currently showing.
2. Using a wired USB keyboard press the right arrow key to proceed to the wireless setup screen
3. You should now be presented with the screen below
4. If your wireless details were pre-loaded press the right arrow again to bypass the Wi-Fi setup screen to step 13. You may need to hold 'CTRL' and press 'T' twice if your player keeps switching to the display screen.
5. Using the USB keyboard press the tab key until your preferred wireless SSID is highlighted and press the Enter key
6. The cursor should now move to the password section so enter the password for the selected wireless SSID and press the tab key to highlight the Connect button and press enter
7. If the connection is successful, you will be presented with the screen below. The green dots indicate a successful connection
8. The three green lights indicate a successful wireless connection and a Hostname and MAC address will also be displayed
9. If you are returned to the Join WIFI network screen, this indicates an unsuccessful connection which normally means an incorrect password was entered so repeat steps 9-12 again
10. Once complete, please reply to the email you would have been sent with the MAC address and desired screen name to complete the set-up process.
